"Essence of Life"

This is an intriguing painting... essence of life... it's literally a jug of water. But is it? Personally, my mind wanders to... who is pouring this water? Where are they pouring it? Why is the water coming out of a weird pitcher thing? As the artist, I see it as water from a third world country. This pure water is seen as valuable, it's treasured. It's also coming from a jug that has gold color shimmering off of the sides which adds to the feeling of value that this water has. As for the true story of this painting, it's simple. It's simply the essence of life.

I Created this painting specifically to place into the Wy'east Art Guild's "Water Water Everywhere" annual art show at the Sandy Public Library. It was kind of a last minute decision but I managed to finish it the night before it was due.
