"Re-Rembrandt"

This is an interesting painting and kind of out of my ordinary. When I look at this painting I see an old man who seems to have seen a lot. The texture in the acrylic that is carried through his beard and face seem to give him an extra depth in personality. I've heard people describe him as Santa but not a happy Santa; he looks sorrowful, like he's pondering something... like he's deeply concerned about something. definitely a thought provoking piece.

This is a re-creation of Rembrandt's painting which I made to learn from his techniques and practice a portrait.
